Basic information

Below you will find an overview of what happens to your data and what protection we offer. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and adhere strictly to the rules of data protection legislation. The basis for the handling of your data is therefore a declaration of commitment to maintain data secrecy in accordance with § 15 of the Data Protection Act 2000 (DSG 2000). Hosiery Ges.m.b.H. undertakes to maintain data secrecy in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act (DSG 2000) as amended and to fulfil the data protection regulations, including the data security regulations.

By using this website, you declare that you have read the following data protection regulations and that you agree with them.

Handling of personal data

Data protection law makes a fundamental distinction between two types of data: personal and non-personal data. Information that allows specific conclusions to be drawn about a person is summarised under the term ‘personal data’. This category includes, in particular, your customer data, which may include, for example, details of your company, name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Such data is only stored by us if you provide it voluntarily, e.g. as part of a registration or a purchase. Your customer data will be stored by us for the entire duration of the contractual relationship.

We protect against access, use and publication

We also use your personal data to communicate with you. For example, you may receive transaction-related welcome letters or order confirmations from us. In addition, we may from time to time send you marketing messages by e-mail to draw your attention to new products or services or to provide you with other information that may be of interest to you.

You can object to the storage of personal data at any time. Depending on the legal requirements, your data will then be deleted or blocked immediately, unless your data is required to fulfil our obligations towards you. This also applies retroactively to all personal data stored about you in the past.

Handling of non-personal data

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (‘Google’) Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, text files which are stored on your computer and which enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this visitor information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us as the website operator and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google Inc. under any circumstances. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

It is possible to deactivate Google Analytics using a browser add-on. However, we would like to point out that the storage of this data is solely for system-related and statistical purposes. It contains, for example, aggregated key figures such as the average time spent on the website, the frequency with which web pages are accessed or the contents of shopping baskets, but no data that can be used to establish a personal reference.

We also use cookies on our website. These are files that are stored on your computer and are used to improve the user-friendliness of a website. Session cookies are deleted at the end of your visit to our website. This is not automatically the case for hard disk cookies. However, you can set your browser to block cookies, warn you before they are stored or delete cookies that have already been stored on your hard drive.

During your visit to our website, we automatically collect and store information that your browser transmits to us in server log files. This is information such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address) and time of the server enquiry.

Hosiery Ges.m.b.H. cannot attribute this data to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is deleted after a statistical analysis.

Technical data protection

The operation of technological infrastructures is the basis on the one hand for the provision of information and on the other hand for the processing of data. Our data centres are operated in accordance with the latest security standards. This includes the latest firewall and intrusion detection technologies as well as extensive physical controls and access restrictions to our data centres. Modern authentication methods for user and administrator authorisations are used at application level, as are daily backups of all data and its decentralised archiving.

Data transfer

Under no circumstances will your personal data be passed on to third parties without your consent, unless Hosiery Ges.m.b.H. is obliged to do so on the basis of mandatory legal regulations or a court order, or if the transfer is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract concluded or for the fulfilment of your enquiry.
